What is the difference
What is the difference in the engines from 2003 to 2006 5.3 Litre?
I maybe looking at an engine swap, and want to know the difference in engines.
And engine from a 2003 GMC Yukon, will it go into a 2006 Chevy 1500 Silverado?
the engine will be a complete from a wrecked Yukon.
I have a Engine code of T so all I need to look for is the engine code of T from any year from 2000 to present?
PLEASE ADVISE

why are you swapping a 5.3 to a 5.3?
They should be the same.
-
I found the info I was after, for direct replacement according to the interchange manual, it appears I will have to go with a 2005-2006.
I am just wondering if a 2001-2004 5.3 from a vehicle with vin code T will interchange if I use all of my electronics and intake?
I am looking to swap because my engine has developed a Weird Click/Knock and I have found many engines for under a grand that I can install and then tear the origional apart and find what the cause is and repair it and modify it and then swap it back in at a later date, then just sell off the other engine....

If you're doing a swap you should stick it out and get a 6.0.
-
If it was mine, I would.
It is the wife's truck actually, otherwise I would be asking about the 6.0!
-
I would still get a 6.0 to put in it. I think they don't have to work as hard and last longer.

05 and up run a Different Relucter wheel on the Crankshafts... There is NO way around it... If you put it in it will no start...
-
So I am stuck with the 05 and newer like I stated above?
If I need to do the swap, that is what I will look for!
