Newbie to Site w/89 GMC 5.3 Swap

Hey everyone,

My name is Derek and I just signed up on this site. I have an 89 GMC Sierra wth a 5.3 Swap. (see sig) I'm driving it for another month before it goes up for the winter and gets a T76 Front mount turbo. (Custom made from Giffin Performance)

I work at a GM Dealer so if anyone needs any info. (specs, GMVIS etc) I'll help you out where I can.

welcome to the site! what did you end up running at the NE track?

my best run was 14.8@94 mph. That was without nitrous. I dont plan on using any n2o until I get my traction problems out of the way.

Where in Maine do you live? I goto Gearhead Performace Dyno in Bangor. Only because my buddy works there. Its a 3 hour drive for me!

Welcome to the site Derek! That is one of the nicest OBS LWB trucks I have seen! Good job! It looks like you have a lot of the ingredients needed to break into the low 14's--but is it the lack of a posi? Do you spin pretty bad off the line? I noticed your custom user title says Gravy Train Conductor...do you know TxStVanWilder? Cause I know he is the Fag Train Conductor...LOL!!!
