I went to start my winter truck yesterday (which is a 99 s-10 2.2L) and it just cranked....i went to crank it again and it started....it does this everytime...you could crank it the first time and no matter how long you crank it wont start until you recycle the ignition switch then it starts...i have about 114,000 mi and i bought it new....im thinking it could be a fuel pump...and it gonna take a dump...what do you guys think?

next time just turn the ignition to on but dont start the truck, listen carfully for the buzz of the fuel pump. it may just take a second, then start it. it probably is going out. if it goes out and your away from home, i dont know if you know this but, you can kick the gass tank while someone is trieing to start it. the objective is to jar the fuel pump enough to get started. it may sound redneck but it has worked countless times before. ebay has a few on sale. (fuel pumps)
