Torque converter questions?

OK here is it. I finally got some track time on my truck and finally got a feel for my truck. It was a good experience. I am not that concerned about the 60 footer yet. I know I can get that down with practice. What concerns me is that it pulls hard first and second gear, but as soon as get into third gear my truck falls flat on its face, stops pulling bad. I notice the rpms go down to like 4000 rpm's and then i step on the brake and it goes back up to 5000 rpm's. Is my TC going out, can this be corrected with tuning. :confused:

You need to unlock the convertor in 3rd gear. That's what is happening. Setup the tune to only lock in OD.

LOL, no que no cabby, looks like you need a lot more practice with the 60 ft's your truck was pulling. So when we heading out to the track again?

i agree with red just went through it myself .same thing .lock it up in od .with the tune

feels just like mine also, except mine feels like it pulls bad before the 1/8mile
