As it has been said, a 4 bolt lt1 is hard to come by and they are plenty expensive. I have a good one I just pulled out of my truck that I put my 2001 ls1 into. I would sell it to someone for 2500 complete with computer and the wiring harness that will need to be patched into a donor vehicle. This motor has 100k on it but runs like a striped arsed ape. Has an adjustable fuel regulator, accel coil, Street and Performance chip in the computer and all the Corvette accessories. This is a TRUE Corvette LT1, not a camaro or firebird LT1 with the Corvette accessories. The motor has Edelbrock headers included with it but they leak a bit. It will never pass a smog test due to the chip in the computer being only for performance, not emissions(bought the street rod version). It has an air foil on the intake and a custom dual three inch intake that bring air from behind the front bumper, below the radiator for cool air. These motors are easily bored oversize, stroked and good for performance build ups. For just over $2000 you can buy a LT4 conversion kit from GMPARTSDIRECT.COM and instantly have over 400 hp and SCAT has a stroker kit for less than $1000. Too bad nobody builds performance stuff for our LS1s this cheap.
I wanted to reduce the front-end weight for off-roading so I went for the LS1. 80 lbs makes a world of difference.
