What to do?
I'm looking into swapping out my 4.8 with the 6.0. I would like to get ya'lls help/opinions on this. I was looking for either a low mileage lq9, and not mess with the internals, or get a moderate mileage lq9 or 4, and get some forged internals. It will probably never see over 10#'s of boost. I want some serious power, but also have to keep it reliable because it is my DD. Is there really that much difference in the lq9 and 4? Is it worth spending the "extra" money to get the lq9, or find a lq4 and get some goodies for it? Any opinions and thoughts appreciated!:)

If you are going forged, then start with an LQ4. Cheaper and more of 'em.
Do a forged 370.

Depends what your goal is.
If it's lots of power, just wait and build an engine for it, if it involves 5/600hp, then the lq4 will be just right.

I'll probably just go with the 4. Is there anything specific i should definently replace to assure longevity for boost?

Yeah just about everything!! If youre really serious of course! I did almost the same thing except i started with a 5.3l block!! Bottom rebuild and bored cylendar walls for larger pistons. Also used -30cc dished pistons to lower compression!
