Posting Guidelines for LS1Truck Forums

LS1Truck forums were established in 2002 to create a friendly environment for automotive enthusiasts to interact in a laid back, family-orientated environment. In order to foster this friendly interaction and create an environment where enthusiasts feel comfortable posting and hanging out, we have created a set of rules and guidelines which all members are asked to follow. These rules are general in nature, as it is impossible to spell out every possible reason that may result in a thread or user id being locked, deleted, or edited.

The rules are as follows:

1. Expletives

No swearing is allowed. If you are not sure if a word is allowed it would be better to do without. If you use symbols in place of a word that is not allowed and it is clear that the word meant is in violation of these rules, you will receive an infraction. If you receive 3 infractions within a 30 day period you will automatically be banned from use of this website for a period of 30 days starting from the date of the first infraction received. If you feel you have received an infraction without due cause you may appeal the infraction by emailing admin@ls1truck.com. You will receive a confirmation email confirming that your case has been received with a case number and a form to fill out. Any form that is not completely filled out in all fields will be considered a statement of withdrawal of the case and an admission of guilt. A decision will be reached within 30 days of the date the email is received by an unbiased third party with no association to this website, its owners, or any subsidiary of this site. If found innocent any and all charges incurred by the investigation will be paid in full by this website and normal membership will be restored/reinstated immediately. If found guilty you will be held liable for any costs incurred by the investigation, independent third party costs or any debts or fines that may accrue from the investigation. If found guilty you will have 30 days to pay in full any balance owed. After 30 days a late fee of 12% will be added to the cost of any debts or fines. If debt remains unpaid after 60 days the debt will be turned over to a debt collection agency and all legal recourse of collecting this debt will be used. Any information considered as private (email, address, SS#, etc...) that is held by this site or any site affiliated with this site will be used in an attempt to collect any debts, fines owed. This process is necessary to keep this site fair for all peoples of any age group regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation etc...

2. Spamming

Spamming or intentional business advertisements by businesses that do not sponsor LS1Truck are not allowed. Threads or PMs determined to be "spam" will be deleted or forwarded to the Administration, This type of posting could possibly result with privileges to our board restricted or denied without prior notice and or notification.


Lottery schemes being advertised on this board are considered Spam. Excessive advertisement of other "for profit" forums is also considered spam, and will be dealt with accordingly. If you are interested in sponsoring LS1Truck, please send inquiries to admin@ls1truck.com


Chain Letter type threads are not allowed on this site.

3. Flames, or Derogatory Insults

Flames or derogatory insults are strictly against the rules. If you disagree with another member's point of view, do so in a mature and civil manner. If someone posts to discuss their personal problems or seek help from other forum members, please do not respond unless you have something positive or helpful to add. If you find yourself being flamed or insulted by another member, please do not dignify that person with a response. Notify a moderator and let us handle it. If you feel you must respond to a flame or insult directly, please do NOT do so on the board. Use private messages or e-mail.

Suggestion: If you are particularly irritated by another member's posting habits and are constantly fighting the urge to flame them, you can click on that person's profile, and select "Add to ignore list." This will make that person's posts invisible to you.

4. Racism, or Sexism

Threads or replies promoting or expressing intolerant or disrespectful views towards any group (race, religion, sexual preference) are not appropriate, and will not be allowed.
We have several female members on this forum and sexual comments that are disrespectful to women will not be allowed.

5. Threatening other board members

Threatening other board members will not be tolerated. This includes threats of physical violence, threats of property damage, death threats, terrorist threats, or threatening to hack another person's online identity or computer.

6. Porn, NWS, or Copyrighted Picture violation

Porn is not welcome here. Pictures showing semi nudity will be allowed in our general discussion section if an appropriate warning is posted in the subject line, and the picture is at worst, "pg-13-rated." "X-rated" pictures, sites, or links are and will remain strictly against the rules. Any offensive topics (graphic sex, specific sex act, violence, snuff films, pictures or videos(human or animal) that depict graphic death, torture, and/or dismemberment, dead bodies, or violent sexual acts will not be allowed. This includes pictures of dead or injured animals that are graphic.

"pg-rated" means that you cannot show any genitalia, as long as there is . This includes transparent clothing.. if genitals are even partially visible, it's not okay.

Sexual acts of any kind are not acceptable.

Any person that adds content to a thread that will give the thread a NWS (Not work safe)status will be in violation of the "Porn" policy. You MAY NOT place content to the initial thread topic that will change the thread content to NWS.

In addition to the above, posting or linking to, any copyrighted or watermarked pictures is expressly forbidden by LS1Truck.com

7. Avatars or Signatures

Avatars and Signatures: Avatars, user titles, and signatures must be pg-13. Please keep that in mind when adding them.

You can have links to scores, benchmarks and your own forum or web site. a maximum of 4 links are permitted.

You are allowed to have a .gif type image for an avatar that changes or moves as long as it is in good taste and is not demonic, murderous, satanic, disrespectful to any race religion or group, depicting acts of violence, sexual acts or otherwise disturbing avatars that may invoke fear or disgust will not be allowed.
Avatars and signatures are not allowed to be used for the advertising of companies that not supporting sponsors of ls1truck.com.
If your avatar is removed you will be notified by private message as to why.
These avatar rules are general in nature and cannot contain all situations in which an avatar could be removed.
All colors may be used in signatures.

8. Posting in Appropriate Forums

Please post your topics in the most appropriate forum (i.e., tech threads only in tech forums).

9. Controversial Topics

Controversial topics, such as religion, political debates, etc are NOT allowed here...
10. Illegal Activities

Threads/replies encouraging other illegal/unethical action will not be allowed. This also includes threads about using and/or obtaining illegal copies of copyrighted material such as software, music, videos, and sharing registration and license keys of copyrighted material.

11. Trolling

“Trolling", or makings posts with the sole intention of creating discontent or problems on the forums is obviously against the forum guidelines. This includes registering an alternate ID for the sole purpose of creating problems on the forums. "Troll ID's" will be locked immediately and permanently, and can be locked or deleted without notification to the offender.
Making a second id to gain access to the board or for any reason while your primary id has been banned is considered trolling.
Using anothers id while your id is banned to gain access to the boards may result in both ids being deleted permanently.

This also includes creating posts on this site to organize, instigate, or stage trolling attacks on other sites. LS1truck does not recommend or condone any such activity.

12. Posting Harmful URL's

Any Member of the LS1Truck site that posts malicious or harmful URL links that cause:
• Other Member’s PCs to become locked or have to be rebooted in order for the PC to regain functionality (Like the link to the "You're an idiot" page that ends up spawning countless little browser windows dancing all over your screen)
• “Screaming”, (cannot be viewed safely for content or sound at work)
• Links that add another forum member to your ignore list

Will lose posting privileges for 3 or more days. A repeat offender may be permanently banned from the board.

13. Sponsor Bashing

Our paying Sponsors deserve respect and restraint. Attacking a sponsor on the board is inappropriate. If you have a complaint with a sponsor, you may post the information in the appropriate forum and show the facts pertinent to the problem at hand. If you do post on the board about a specific problem involving a sponsor, please remain calm and state the facts. Do not let emotion cloud the issue at hand.

We really hope situations can be resolved off-line but we will not prohibit a statement of fact BUT we will control the thread so as to stop the “Hate” or “Me too” replies these threads often generate.

If the situation resolution seems to be totally unacceptable or completely ignored, you should contact the Board Administrator directly with your situation. Send all pertinent information to admin@ls1truck.com

14. Attacking Forum Moderators

Please utilize the board's Private Message function, or e-mail, if you wish to discuss a situation with a moderator. As long as you bring up your concerns maturely and civilly to the moderator or administrator in question, we will do our best to address your concerns fairly and promptly. Continued attacks to a moderator on-line will usually result in restriction for some interval from our site even for the first offense.

15. Classified Policies

The Classifieds take a minimum of 30 posts and 30 days of being a member to participate in. The rules for trading, buying and selling are posted within the classifieds.
if you have reached both of these criteria and cannot see the classifieds after a full hour you may contact a moderator or admin.

16. LS1Truck site Communications

Using the ls1truck e-mail link or the ls1truck PM process to send threats of violence, racial attacks, personal or sexually harassing messages is prohibited. You will be warned once and the 2nd offense is 7 days restriction from the board. Any additional offense of this nature will result in a permanent ban from the site.

Anyone that feels they are a victim of this problem should immediately contact a moderator or a site Administrator for assistance. DO NOT DELETE THE MESSAGE(S). Please keep the offending message(s) on hand so that you can forward them to the Administrator, as evidence, for action against the perpetrator.

17. Chat box

The emergency technical help section (chatbox) cannot be used for buying, selling or discussing sales of any type. Please use the private messaging system or emails to keep a record of any transactions. Also refer to "1. Expletives" above.



18. General message

This forum is founded on the principles of equality and fairness to all people and for the bettering of peoples knowledge by sharing information and helping others in general. all mods/admins will adhere to this policy. if you feel a moderator/admin is using the power he has unfairly please explain in an email with all evidence and facts to admin@ls1truck.com and we will do our best to resolve the situation.




The above rules and guidelines are necessary to make ls1truck forums comfortable and enjoyable for ALL enthusiasts. If you feel you can not comply with the rules above, please refrain from using ls1truck forums.
