a/c question
I have just gotten my a/c going.
New compressor, new orifice tube, new dryer.
System was flushed and charged, and it cools great, but the compressor cycles on and off every 10-15 seconds with the engine speed any more than idle.
The system is a hybrid.
The a/c system is generally stock from a 92 fullsize, converted to 134A, with a 5.3 engine and pcm etc.
Does anyone know which wire I need to hook up to the pcm for the engine rpm to raise when the a/c compressor engages.
Also how often should the compressor be cycling?
Thanks guys

Anyone know which wires to hook up from the truck pcm to make the engine idle increase when the compressor kicks on.
With the cam I have, the truck almost dies everytime the compressor engages

Did you pull a vac on the system?

Yes. We recharged the system yesterday and it seems better.
While the interior is hot the system stays engaged but once the cab cools off it begins cycling a bit. It cools very well, so it may be me making a mountian out of a molehill.
I would like to know how to make the engine rpm increase when the compressor engages because with the cam I have, the truck will barely run once the compressor is turning.
Thanks

That's in the tune.
It is normal for the compressor to cycle, this prevents the evap core from freezing up.
