I'm putting a cammed 6.0 in my 82 silverado. It has a Th350 and 456 gears. The cam is a 226 and stall is 3000. I wanted to put the victor Jr on it, but it has a 3500 to 7500 rpm range. But I believe that rating is off a carbed Gen I 350[don't know for sure]. Will my 226 cam and 3000 stall work with that intake? My motor makes pretty good torque, so shouldn't the stall flash a little higher? My carb is a 750DP and I'll be using the MSD box [not Edelbrock/MSD]. The truck will see both street and strip time and should weigh in at 3400+/-.

the stock 6.0L torque peak was 4000rpm.. that cam more than likely
pushed it up 500-750rpm.. id say you need more converter.
most LSx f-body end up 4000-4400rpm stalls. mainly because of
shift extension (keeping the revs and power band aligned).
VJ's are all 3500-8000rpm manifolds whether it be a small block,
big block, gm, ford, dodge... all start at 3500, until port work begins.
first stop is a dyno to find out the peaks... guessing is expensive.

I had a 3000 stall in the donor truck before I wrecked it, and it seemed to work good. Maybe I'll try a 4000 stall if the 3000 I have doesn't cut it. I can't really dyno this combo yet, because I'm needing to buy an intake for my carb setup. I think I'll do the performer rpm, because the truck will be cruised + the Perf RPM has a range of 1500 to 6500. That should be good enough for that cam...right?
