The little connections melt up there on some of the older pumps. Mine were black from resistance/burned the hell up. I had to buy a whole new drop in assembly to repair it with updated connectors. I have checked the connectors at both the fuel pump and the pressure switch and they look fine. It is hard to think that this problem is only at occassional start up and not while running if the pump is bad. You may be right though. I hate to spend over $400 for a new pump and that not fix it. If I new it would that wouldn't be so bad. Thanks
