Those will support way more than 500 hp especially if they are rated 44lb at 43PSI of fuel instead of 58PSI.

They're the 58psi rated Delphi ones. :(
According to the Endres book, Fuel amount required = HP times approximately .500 F=HP*.5 so 500HP requires 250 lbs of fuel flow per hour. Divide that by 8 and you need just over 30 lph. If using a power adder use .6 instead of .5 in the formula.
So the 44s will do 352lbs/hr? But that's at 100% IDC, right?
500x0.6 = 300...
A Lucas 42.5 injector will supply fuel for 786hp at 100% and 629 at 80% IDC using the .5 value(naturally aspirated). The injector is truly a 49.1 lb unit.
Crap, these are the Delphi stubby - http://www.racetronix.com/Manuals/In...ultec2_inj.pdf
It's in an FI app, so 0.6 is what I'll use for BSFC.
Any ideas what's avail to fit the stock truck harness/rail?
How about those... http://www.nelsonperformance.com/products.htm#fuel
We have a solution for you!
Lucas Injectors - direct swap for LS1 engines.
42lb @ 43.5 psi , 48lb @ 58psi
These will also fit the 4.8/5.3/6.0L engines in 99+ GM Trucks with our installation kit.
The kit includes LS1 injector clips, heat shrink, solder and butt connectors, and 3/8" spacers to raise the fuel rail.
Price: $300
Installation kit for GM Trucks: $32
hrm... any resistance issues with the soldering of the new terminal ends?
Further down the page are direct swap truck injectors. :thumb:
