Well my friend just took me for a ride in his 97 Mustang GT with a Roush Body Kit...Its freaking fast as hell...hes selling it for 3300...I asked him is he could take 300$ payments everymonth for 11 months?
its paint is somewhat good (black)...Has a new unpainted bumper up front...
The air bags need fixing..Not too hard to fix at all...
Needs new exhaust manifolds..Has a small leak...
-Tires have like 50% tread left
130,000 miles
badass rims
its runs great...Tranny doesnt slip or anything
I know its not a chevy guys but this would be a great start for me.....and it will get me the speed I want
I can still do turbo on my truck too haha!
What do yall think?
-
was it in a wreck? if it was i wouldnt get it, but still get the turbo, hehe!

You said the "F" word on this forum. Don't ever come here again.
Just kidding.
Hey, fast is fast. My affinity with a truck is it's rewarding to smoke a ricer or Hemi based vehicle and know that I just ruined someones day because a 5000 pound truck schooled them. Sounds kind of cruel, but oh well.
But if you like the car man get it. If it was me I would take the money and put it toward the truck. Stick a LQ9 in it or something. But that's your call.

No v8's remember........

At least not in my truck :thumb:
Insurance wont be too bad since I have a clean record...
Hopefully it will stay that way haha

sounds ok but if you need to "fix the airbags" and its got a new front bumper I would look to see wut other stuff got damaged from that front end collision...i.e. front suspension and really look at the frame and engine mounts...just my two cents

Too many miles for me. I would rather put the 300 a month into my truck
-
If you get a sports car you wont put any more money into the truck for speed it will all go to making that v8 go faster.

Yup, sounds like it was in an accident--nothing too major, just enought to the front end for the bumper to be replaced and for the airbag sensors to trip. The only other clue you could get from the airbags going off is the fact that the windshield is smashed, but that was obvioulsy replaced. Look to see if it is a new windshield...that will tell the whole story.
IMHO, don't do it. Being in your situation before, I'd remain content with what I have, enjoy not having to make $300 per month payments (on top of what else that thing is going to need), and enjoy college life. Oh, and I am sure your father wouldn't appreciate it too much if he knew that you purchased another vehicle. He may think..."Hmmm, my son apparently is wealthy enough to go buy another vehicle AFTER I got him a nice truck...maybe I should make him start paying for the truck, or school, or books, or rent..." See, I know because I have had the same train of thought that you have.
