5.3 engine Complete! 500$

Here in town I have access to a 2001 5.3 L complete! 53k Miles! Looks very nice...Just a little dust on it...

The only thing it doesnt include is the oil pan, the harness and the comp.

You can get the harness and comp from the junkyard guy for 50$ each

Oil pan is about $50 bucks each too I believe

Let me know if interested...Its located in Bryan/College Station TX..We can meet up if you would like to pick it up and I can reserve it for you!

what all do i need to go from 4.8 to 5.3???

NOTHING&#33; Heads are the same I believe 4.8 has 862 and 5.3 has 706 or something like that....you current oil pan will transfer over...It will be a very easy swap..You dont need any accesories......You can use you current PCM and harness...just might wanted to get it tuned for a 5.3 before it goes in or somethin..or get the 01 PCM from the guy and get someone to tune it then put it in in the swap

you can sell everything you currently have for the same price easily ...so basically you would get it for free in the long run lol

im thinkin about it cuz the 5.3 is a lot faster than the 4.8...i how hp would a cammed 5.3 be and times??

yeah, a harness is very hard to find, trust me i looked for one forever and still never found one. word of advice is make sure u can find the harness before u buy the engine. :hshake:

Nope because your 4.8 is the exact same one. Horsepower is not too much different from the 4.8 and 5.3 Its greater, but not like my 4.3 to 5.3 is.
