As the title says, I have an issue thats recently popped up with my truck.
I noticed it a few weeks back. Here is the scenario. Only 4th gear, say cruising down the interstate 65ish. If the TCC is locked no issue, if you give it enough pedal to unlock the TCC but not shift into 3rd I'll get a serious slip. I've logged it with HPT and it is torque converter slip. Its like a very loose 5000K stall converter. Doesn't do it all the time and seems to do it more with slightly elevated trans temps. No issue in any other gear. Truck still pulls great everywhere else. Just ran my best ET's at the track with it.
Any thoughts? Beginning to think it has to be the TC itself but it doesn't make sense that it only does it in 4th gear.

Mine did that when I was getting a SES code for transmission slippage when I had the PI3600 convertor installed. Allen disabled the codes for slippage detection and the problems went away.
