i have been starring at my truck's rear end have been thinking that it was sitting weird. So i measured it tonight and i think its about a 1/2" lower, maybe not that much, on the drivers side. why would this be? thanks

there's always weight on that side and not the other. springs start sagging.
I'm with red on that one, basically everybody's chevy truck has that stance to it. I think one of the big things is because the gas tank runs parallel to the frame on the drivers side.
yeah i was thinking along those same lines...as long as im not the only one..i didnt want to be the black sheep..thanks guys
I never noticed my 97 was like that until I lowered it. You'll probably be the only one to notice it.
my 91 is starting to sag bad on the driver side... i recon the springs having 240k on them they are well used...lol i need to buy new spring for the back and replace them both... and i never really noticed it till i did the flip kit on the back. not so much with the 4 inch drop but the flip did it. i have checked everything and everything is fine just a weak spring on that side i am guessing.
i have seen a few posts in the past where a few guys have fixed that lean problem. i think they cut out a small part of the front spring, and removed a leaf in the back. only on the passenger side though.
Put some of those screw in spring things.....they sound really cool when they pop out of the spring at light speed  just kidding! My truck does it too.....the dreaded gm lean....

I just went and had the leaf springs rebent. Some people can't justify spending $125 on having your leafs fixed, but the 3/8" lean bugged the CRAP out of me. It really doesn affect ride or performance, it just how God intended it.Quote:

If anybody asks, just tell them that GM engineered that lean in there so that the truck sets level when you're driving down a two-lane road that has the properly engineered crown down the middle.
