Will An 02 5.3 be a direct replacement in to a 01 5.3?

Can I swap my 01 5.3 out with a 02 5.3? Is there anything different between the two year models?

Should be a 100% direct replacement. You might have to swap intakes, but other than that it's a go.

out of curiuosity why the same size motor ... its a direct swap , but was just wondering what was wrong with the motor in the truck now or car..
