Second thought on my cam

I bought a Comp XR265HR (212/218 558/563 115lsa). Haven't put it in yet. Now I'm thinking it mught be too much for a DD andto hard to pass CA smog. Would a LS6 cam (204/218 550/550 117.5lsa) be better? I'm just looking for a little more power. Also, if I go with the LS6 cam can I use my comp 918 srings or are they too stiff?

That cam is very mild, you'll enjoy the power and no need to go smaller. It will idle great and pass smog probably with no tuning.
