Find a 14 bolt from an HD. Most came with G80 and 3.73 or 4.10's. I am worried about you "Looking" for LSD....

Just take it to Pyle Bros. in Baytown. They do excellent work and will probably (sp.) have an Eaton and the gears of your choice in stock. That's what most of us run here. Gear and posi install will usually take about 3.5hrs. Or you could always just give 'em a call and they'll answer all your questions you have over the phone, ask for Chance...

I'd look for a used 9.5" SF... there are disc to disc ones around with 3.73:1 or 4.10:1 from newer trucks.

Talked to Chance...Nice Guy. He quoted me $1,100 for Eaton P/N# 19559 and U.S. Gear 3.73's. Does that sound about right. Will this set-up hold 450-500 RWHP? or should I look for something else?

If you're in Houston or DFW... one of the members on GMFS used to do gear installs on the side for $150 if you help and bring parts.

So maybe $500 in parts if you get a new eaton, install/rebuild kit, and some gears. then $150 to install. Just pick up some OEM used 3.73:1s, they're almost free and GM.

    Just my 2¢

I think he said $500 for the Eaton...$189 for gears. I found another place online, $411 for Eaton...$170 for Yukon Gears.
