    Hey anyone know how far a 5.3 block can be bored out to. Thinking about a little more displacement...hehe

    I think you can overbore to .030. I think you would be better off swaping to a larger displacement like a 5.7l or a 6.0l.

    ya i was lookin at the 5.7 blocks but wanted to weigh all my options first before doing anything.

    you can bore the 5.3/4.8 block to the same bore as the stock 5.7L thus making a stock 5.3 a bored iron block 5.7, and i'm not sure what it would make the 4.8 with the small stroke.
