I think they are 2 bolt mains.

The LT1 blocks are all 2 bolt EXCEPT the Corvette ones are 4 bolts. GM = weird.

2 bolts are pretty strong anyway, just strap a main girdle on there if you ever get silly and never think of it again.

    Either way it is good!

What do ya have planned next for your truck? Some stall? 4.10:1?

I would like to do a stall convertor but I am afraid of messin something up with my luck something would happen, plus I have my baby daughter comin on NOV 13,so I am layin back a little bit more. The last mods I have done was 1 month ago and I got the westers PCM,and I love it.Plus my truck has 174,500 miles on the original engine.I have done compression tests and all are within 2% of each other and burns no oil,and it runs better and harder than when it was new,of course cause of the mods I have done to it.I want to keep my truck forever though,I love it.

Eh true, just take a slow build on your truck. Is your 4L60E still original also?

    Congrats on the daughter!

Thanks for congratin me on my daughter,I appreciate that buddy. No my 4L60E is no where near original. When my dad boought the truck he bought the extended warrany which was up to 100,000miles.Well the first tranny went out at 40,000miles and was replaced under warranty. Then that trans.went out at 145,000miles and I bought a new one for it from Mac Haik chevrolet for 1200.00 with a 50,000mile warranty. My dad gave me the truck,I was so lucky he did man I am so appreciative of it to.He is a good man and we are very close. When he gave me the truck I have now he bought an 02 ext.cab Z&! with the 5.3,it is an LT with leather onstar,it is loaded and its fine man.So far he has done a HPP III,K&N fipk, throttlebody spacer and borla exhaust. The reason he gave me his 97 model is cause I was goin to school at Westwood college of Aviation technology and my other truck was a 98 ext.cab 4X4 with the 305 vortec and I was payin 470.00 a month for it,So he and my step mom helped me out tremendously.

Congrats on the new addition, well when she arrives. I still don't have enuff time to have one myself, well a newborn, I have a stepdaughter now, she's great and we've been together since she was three, so it's like she's mine, hehehe, i'm sure it's a whole new ball game with a newborn, good luck,

no problem with taking your time with the truck, i do the same, i like to really think about my mods and make sure they are going to work with my comob, i hate making mistakes on exspensive mods, my next may be a stall.
ya, the 60e's basically suck, they are weak tranny's when you have a big truck, i changed mine out at 40K miles on the 'hoe, i'm sure it's not going to be the last.

have you run it at the 1/4 mile, just curious to see what it will run

    later,

    allen

Oh nice a newer 4L60E! That kicksass!

My Pops is very cool too. He helped me get my credit established when I bought my first vehicle years ago...came up with the down payment so I could get it workin. Now my credit rules and I just got a Discover card.

I am gettin transfered at work and will be going to school in the Woodlands at that branch of U of H and living in the Jeresy Village or Humble area.
