    4L60E and turbo 5.3

Im going to be doing a turbo front mount 76mm on a 5.3 prolly wont run more than 12 psi. What do i need to do to my tranny to be able to hold it? I have a good tranny guy so if there is a kit out there im all set. Thanks for all the input

depending on the weight of the truck and rear gearing you can build it to handle the power but many ppl dont think the same as i do and they just swap an 80 in it. The 80 is much stronger than the 60 stock for stock but it also eats more hp and is heavy as hell. If its a daily driver then go with the 80

176lbs VS 245lbs I wouldn't say the 80e is that much heavier. Also plenty of people have dyno/track proven that the difference is less than +/-5%. I think the trade off is worth it.

Yeah? in what universe? Marvel or DC?

To the OP, I had several 60E from well named and known builders. Had a hard head thinking one of them will last. Burn them all.

Now I have a 80e that is been holding 2yr+ no problem.

Save ur self some headaches and save money for the swap.

You can sell your 60E for some money now b4 it get trashed, bcause is gonna get trashed.

I was selling my 60e and installing my 80e Friday. Since my 1yo 60e went out yesterday that's 500 less bucks in my pocket. I'm installing the 80 right now!
