Question Quick question about a remanufactured crankshaft I bought from Napa.

I just had everything cleaned and machined on a 5.3 I'm putting together and I just put the top half of the main bearings in and set my crank in and I spun it and a small section of the reluctor wheel touches and rides against the back of the block and you can tell its not completely straight. Is this going to be a big problem or is this just the way some of these wheels are? It's doesnt hit hard or bind up at all but you can hear it rubbing.

Big problem... that reluctor wheel needs less the .020 runout.

Is there any way to fix it? Can I bend it straight again or should I just exchange it with napa for a different one? If they will take it back.

If its a 24x wheel there is really now way to straighten it without making it want to separate. Its two wheels that are stamped together.

i tend to agree they should have caught it on the clean up or polish or whatever they may have done!

Yeah they delivered a new crank to me today and took the bad one. Would you guys recommend replacing the main and rod bolts?
