Would it be a bad thing to go .040 off and end up with the common 64cc's?
Would that be 10.5:1 or so?

I have been trying to do a bunch of research on cams and such for a 10.5:1 LS3 headed 6.0 and at first I was thinking of going with something like the Texas Speed Torquer V2 232/234 .595"/.598"

But it is going in a 5000# truck on 35's, 4.56's and probably a 3400 stall since I tow a 5000# boat occasionally.
So that got me looking at smaller cams.
    T R223/236 .612/.610 115 LSA or
    TR 227/234 .616/.614 115 LSA

Am I close or way off? It might see a track for "shut your dirty ford mouth" reasons.

It will get long tubes, and I guess I need a L92 truck intake.

    I think your setup would benefit from Geoff @ EPS's favorite L92 cam. It's a 222/230 .597/.600 112.

That's the cam he recommend to me and I've seen about 3 other trucks running it. They all run very well.

The best advice I have ever heard:... Only take B( . Y . )ST advice from someone that is CURRENTLY running a turbo setup close to, or bigger than what you want......

Why did you choose to not go with a cam that an expert recommended.

Because I asked for a custom spec'd cam and he gave me specs for one that he's had in 3 other trucks that I KNOW OF. I felt like he didn't take any of my setup into account. One truck was lifted 6" on 35s with no stall. One was in a 6.0 with l92 heads and 4.56 gears. One was a 6.2, no stall, 3.73s. Too much variation to feel like he took any information into account.

thats a nice cam , you gotta pay attention to the cam, i like when james at rage specs my cams out im right there, he uses software, takes all the flow numbers from intake to heads to exhaust, the weight of the truck, the gear size blah blah blah then punches it in and its spits out a couple or few cam numbers, then he does some tweaks and then we choose one

alot of the cam guru's, (id have to agree with quik) there pulling what works off the shelf and changing a few numbers up then calling it a custom grind, i dont know foresure but i had cams spec'd from patrick g also though the worked well and i had no issues but he knew what i was after thus i feel i got the cam i was looking for.
