Drop the pan to do the shift kit, then replace what came out with GM fluid. Don't even bother with the filter.
GET OUT OF HERE WITH THAT RICER MATH!

Well that's what I was wondering I know I want to get a good quality filter and fluid cause I'm hoping the trans will last me another year or two atleast lol. It just makes me nervous hearing all the horror storys of the 4l60e dying so easy and I'm running one in a 6000lb beast that I beat on reguarly. Not as much as I did before the rear went but I still give her a run. The wife is already fully aware that when this one goes I'm doing a 80e swap or aftermarket 60e.

ive also got my fingers crossed on the 60e in a avalanche with a procharger, also a cooler will go a long way.
