    lifters?

hey guys i have stock lifters in my truck i know i need to replace them because i have a new cam 236/242 .580/.590 because they are ticking. i dont know what lifters i should go with should i just put stock lifters back in it or go with another lifter such as the ls7 or other gm based lifter? Any advise would be helpfull.

LS7 lifters, inexpensive and good for 7000 rpm.

it feels great from a 30 roll it pulls really hard but i dont have the right stall so from a dig its not as great as it will be. i dont have a video as of yet ill try and get one today. then you can be the judge on the lope.

Your lifters may be ticking because of the smaller base circle diameter of that big cam. Did you measure lifter preload after you installed it? What length pushrod did you use?

no i didnt measure it they are the stock pushrods. the guy said i may need 7.5 length pushrods.

If you installed the appropriate springs with the cam, you really should invest in hardened pushrods. The factory units are the weakest link in your valvetrain. 7.5" pushrods will be way too long. It's best to measure using an adjustable pushrod, but if you can't, I would suggest using 7.425".
