Angles for 2-peice driveshaft and pinion

Need angles for trans, first shafts, and diff. My trucks ride height is around a 5/7 drop. I know when you lower a ex-cab they raise the carrier bearing just not sure how much and have no idea what stock angles are. Any help appreciated.

try to keep the 1st 1/2 of the driveshaft at the same angle of the output shaft of your transmission.

set your pinion angle down 2-4* and that should be good enough. check to make sure that the difference between the pinion angle and the 2nd half of the driveshaft isnt any more than 6*. it shouldnt be but it never hurts to check. thats how i do it on lowered trucks anyways....or atleast how it used to be haha.

I have done a lot of research, and the one piece I understand how to set up but the two piece their is not a lot of specific information out on that.

I have gotten rid of the wot take off shutter by raising the carrier bearing. The pinion angle seems to have no effect on the wot take off shutter. Now all I am trying to work out is a slight vibration at 40 and 60 mph. The angles on Trans is -3* was at -3.5*. First shaft and carrier bearing is set 0*. Diff is set at 1. The way I am understanding is the diff needs to be equal/opposite of the trans or the first shaft.

    no

the front half of your driveshaft should be at the same angle as the transmission output shaft. sounds like 3* down from your post.

then set the pinion angle down 2-3 degrees in reference to the ground. make sure the poerating angle between the pinion angle and the back half of the driveshaft is within operating range of the joints. (i think max operating range is a 7* difference but not 100% sure) then it is set.

What ever angle you have on one end you want to have the same angle just oppisite way from the other.

Even with 2 piece. this ones lifted but same applies lowered.

the link posted above agrees with my method

honestly, there are probably 10 different ways that people do this and it works for all of them. as long as the operating angles of the joints are within limits i dont see why not.
