ok i plan on doing a 5.3 with ls1 pistons flat tops and 243 heads and .040 head gaskets can i have the block zero decked and not have to worry about changing pushrod length or how far can i go with head or block milled before pushrod change and valve clearance on the piston i also plan on this being a daily driver to unshure of cam choice yet also what is a good roller rocker that stands up to everyday driving also with the right springs how much lift can a stock head handle before machine work

I'm guessing that you are having the 5.3 bored to 3.902 in order to use the LS1 pistons. If you are going to deck the block and mill the heads, I would use a pushrod length checker to make sure you get the right ones for your setup. You're going to need new pushrods when you go to a different cam anyway. Stock rockers are good for daily use. You can get some Comp 918's, Patriot Dual Golds or PRC's for springs depending on the amount of lift your cam will have. Get someone to spec your cam and they will tell you what springs you need.
