    traction control

    hi guys

    ive got a 09 silverado 5.3L regular cab 4X2
whencever i turn off the traction control off keep holding the button stabili track off to .
the traction is still working if i drive the car with full throutle tracion light is blinking.
if i put it at the dyno i cant dyno it coz the traction is still working i have to remove the fuse from the fuse box..

so is there is any way to turn it off copmletely ?
with HPtuner or any thing elss ?

Actually had this complaint on a service order last week. It's in the owner's manual...

"The traction control system is enabled automatically when the vehicle is started. It will activate and the StabiliTrak light will flash if it senses that any of the wheels are spinning or beginning to lose traction while driving. If traction control is turned off, only the brake-traction control portion of traction control will work. The engine speed management will be disabled. In this mode, engine power is not reduced automatically and the driven wheels can spin more freely. This can cause the brake-traction control to activate constantly."

Maybe it can be turned off in the tune.

mine is the same way, even when i have TC and satbilitrak off it still kicks in... ive tried to get it turned off in the tune a few times, but its still on, so i would assume thats just the way it is.

heavier wheels will make it engage more often. And when isn't it "supposed to" you mean like in turns? Yes mine has occasionally...usually on purpose tho.

Not the same on a GMT800 as a GMT900. Traction control is much more rare on a GMT800 pick-up too.
