    another a/c issue

Fan blows fine, just not cold. Checked all fuses and they are fine, looked under the hood and watched the compressor it appears to come on, spin for a second maybe two then go back off, repeats this until you turn the a/c off inside.

Does this mean its time to pull the v6 and do the swap?!?!?

mmmmmm....not much info......prolly low on freon on but could be a lot of things...bad compressor causing high or low pressure to kick on...electrical gremlins, compressor clutch or anything....

.....but im sure a 6.0 would turn it fine

I like the way you think Dale!

I have access to a set of gauges, what pressure range should the freon be?

High side or low side? depends on ambient temperature.... i'd have to look at my chart...whats the temps there?

....usually about twice the temperature on the high side would mean a good charge...so about 180? dont quote me though

Static needs to be around 110 or so this time of year or at least ambient on both sides. Static is a bad way to look at it though IMO since the system could have air in it. Need to evacuate and weigh the liquid to know for sure. Dynamic pressures in medium humidity with ambient temp around 90 should sit at 40-55 low and 200-230 high.
