There should be a label, like a thin metal plate on the rght side of the trans.It should have the trans type stamped on there. Could be the 4l60 or the 4l60e. Dont think it would be a 700r4 cause those were getting phased out but i wouldnt rule it out completly though.

oh and sciv, i woul have too except i was in a hurry. i know i shouldnt have rushed it, and wished i hadnt now.

8680514 are the letters. and there is a big number three, not relevent to the letters i just mentioned. its by its self.. idk if i needed to mention it but i did just in case because im tired of crawlin under it.

yeah those numbers dont match up. should have something like " 4 yd d 3 187 a". Not exactly as stated but it should look like that on the stamp above pan.
yea... this stamp was above the pan. maybe the guy i got it off of put in a different transmission?
