I fried my PCM with the gay predator. As soon as I get a replacement pcm from GM I will need to think about tuning again. I don't think I'll tune my $hit with the Predator again, too dangerous. My only choices are a handheld, a module of some sort, ls1 edit, or a custom tune.

A custom tune is sounding better and better. My choices would be Nelson's, Westers, CMotorsports, Pcm for less, Ed Wright's, etc.

The one I'm hearing the best information about is Nelsons tuning of which Allen (farmtruck) is the proprieter.

Tell me, is the Nelson's tune the only tune that offers free PCM upgrade for future mods down the road (for life? (within reason?)) I ask because my truck is still under warranty so its not entirely unlikely that I may take the truck in one day and the GM techs might flash the PCM (with my badass Nelson's tune on it).

This Nelson's tune is pricey at $490 but if it has free upgrades and good tech support then it would be worth it.

I suppose Farmtruck will answer so tell me why I should buy your tuning? (I'm practically sold)

I believe westers offers the upgrades for free also. I have to be honest here other wise you wouldn't believe anything about Allen. Not sure about the othr ones tho. There is a guy on here that went from Westers to Nelson. His name is 02Denali. He swore up and down that Westers was the sh!t, but after having Allen take a look at his and tweek a couple things that westers had done. 02Denali was sold on Allen.
Not sure where you live, but westers is from Canada. He does not see the same kind of weather that 02Denali see, and I see.
02 Denali and I both have the Nelsons tune and wouldn't have any other tune. I had the HPPIII before Nelsons, and it is like night and day.
Also 02Denali knocked of about 4/10 of a second switching from the Westers to the Nelson's tunes.

i have had the predator paper weight also. sorry to hear about yours. i then went to westers and thought i had the shit. i kept modding and going back and forth with westers. i then met allen and the rest is history. dont get me wrong these other guys are good tuners. but i honestly beleive that allen is the best. the drivability, the ability for him to tune for you and you only. yay the prices may seem high to some but how much did you spend on the predator. i have more in my exhaust than i do the tune. if you want what is the best in my opinion and others then go to allen. allen's tunes rule.

allen is badass. i along with a few others are recent customers of allen. i am COMPLETELY satisfied with my tune at 89 octane. im gonna move up to the 93 real soon though. i havent heard of an unsatisfied customer yet. allen prides himself on his customer service. there is a reason. he is one of the easiest people to talk to as well. i highly recommend it! i sell/install hypertech at work, and would never recommend them over a nelson EVER
