The 2000 vett cam is in my truck finally. Lost some low end but gained alot of top end. Now I need a tune.. I need to move the rev limiter to about 6200rpm. Thanks to all for the help.

Hey Travis, that is great, how long did it take you? Did you run into any problems?
That's probably the best and cheapest mod you can do.

When you say lowend, how low of an RPM did you notice the loss in power?

I guess I didn't feel any loss in my father in laws cause of the tune, he had it before and after.

Let me know when you want to get together, I'm sure we can make it run great,

    see ya at the track,

The cam is .500/.500@198/207lsa115.5. It took 5 1/2 hours but that's do to a few things. ONE being we broke 2 3claw pullers try to get the pully off. Took about 1 hour trying to get that damm thing off. And two being we took an hour brake for lunch and beer.. And three being, oh yea did someone say beer run!!!!! Needless to say the cam is in.

As far as power lost at lower rpm.. I noticed before I could cherp the tire in 2nd and 3rd.. But now any 2nd but pulls better into higher rpm.

Now that I think about it, I had someone riding with me (200+lbs there) and at least 200lbs of my wife's crap in the bed...

    That might be the problem

Let me know what you figure out on you lowend loss. I cant tell tell if mine is the cam or the stock converter. But mine feels real sluggish out of the hole now but feels about the same on the highway.

The loss in power is below 2000rpm. But climbes quickly after that.. Hit speed limiter in 3rd, never did that before. See F150 kill!!! Smoother power band
