New Budget Build for the Test Truck. :)

Since I sold the old stuff prior to getting to have any real fun with it, and the truck been sitting for awhile; desided to build a little bit stronger engine. but keep it as a budget build.

Picked up a set of L92's, 6.0L, some new rods, Pistons. The bottom end is being build as strong as a stock iron block can handle. LSX just out of price range.

The Heads are getting a little port work to them not much just cleaning up the guide area and enlarging the exhaust ports some. Final compression will be below 9 to 1. NOt sure yet, final decking and head clean up cuts are not finalize yet. The truck should be a nice street truck once done. Gots lots to do still. Finish the intake, get the tranny, list is just really long right now. LOL

Hope to have something running in a few months. Might even get to go to the next shoot out.

What made you decide to go with L92 heads?

The heads flow over 300 out of the box, and this is a buget build. These heads cost me just over 400 including the shipping and I think are really really nice heads for the coin.

WE are going either large single or large twins w/nitrous not sure just yet. Have lots of things to work out.
The bottle will help the spool time with either set up.

Looks like we are going twins. either 70's or 76's. Been kicking around the new look new set up for a couple of months now. So far twins are the parts.. Pass side is 75% done, driverside is 30% done.
Now hopefully I do not change my mind again. LOL

Block is machined and threaded for some new head studs. Stock stud is on the right.

You should lay down some good numbers with twin 76's. You have any pics of the progress so far?
