    critique my port job.

I've ported several heads for atv's and what not but this is my first ls head. This is an old set of heads I had laying around , so if I screw them up I'm not out nothing . I've been looking at pics on ls1tech and this is what I've come up with. These are some pics of one exhaust port I've finished opening up but still have to polish out.

first off, dychem looks awesome on aluminum! haha

and it looks like it could use some smoothing with a tootsie roll instead of just using a burr. but im sure they will pick up some!

Read the last sentence in my first post ! Lol . Looking like it'll be next week before I will be able to even work on them again since work picked up. Gonna post some more pics soon as I can. Don't seem to be much advice on head porting around here.

I've always wanted to try it, but with no spare parts to practice on I've also been to chicken. So good for you no matter what the outcome. Good luck. Waiting to see how it turns out.

Starting to look real nice. The thing with porting is its such a dang tough skill to learn that few can do it and fewer are willing to teach or share how to best do it. I have thought of paying to have one section of one head to be done and trying to copy that work on the rest of the head. Nice work! One of the only ways to learn is to practice. I would think consistancy across all chambers would be a major factor and you seem to be doing that well.
