    Chambered muffler

Ok here is what i have. I got a set of powerstick chambered mufflers i had for my camaro but never put them on, they are brand new never use, my question is whats the best way i should run them i have the stock Y pipe so shall itake both and make one long one or come off the Y pipe into another Y and use both mufflers. then there is locaation do i put the mufflers twords the front or rear of that truck, if anyone use Chambered give me a little feed back on sound and install.

    Thanks,

    Del.

Ive never used any powerstick muffler but alot of the guys here like to stay away from the chambered mufflers some do use the hooker aero chambers though. Alot of guys here like magnaflow which is what I run. If your dead set on running the mufflers you have I would just run one of them. If you have the stock exhaust on there now Id just cut out your stock muffler and weld in the once you have if its shorter than the stock one then just make up the length with some spare pipe. If your open to a new muffler suggestion then if I were you id take the 2 mufflers and sell them and use the money to buy one magnaflow or if you can find a good deal on one try and find a corsa set up.

Well out of personal expierence I had a flowermaster on my 5.3 silverado and it always sounded really weird and was too quiet and it was pretty much rotting out with in a year or so and as soon as I put my longtubes on it just sounded annoying for some reason the flowmasters just sound like crap on our trucks and some guys claim a loss in power with them as well im not sure about the powerstick once but Id assume the same seeing its a chambered muffler too. I swapped out my flow master with a magnaflow and it sounded awesome on my 5.3 silverado wit the LTs then I recently got a silverado ss and did the same set up longtubes and a magnaflow and it sounds awesome, I am kind of looking into getting a corsa though. I think another reason people like the magnaflows is because of the quality they are very well made and all stainless. But by all means if you want to be different try the muffler you have I would waste time trying to get 2 on there just try the one and sell the other one and then if you end up not liking it you can always swap out to something different! And as far as location id just put it where your stock one is and weld it in place that will probably be the simplest way to do it!

I would just cut the exhaust after the Y and put ONE in.

im gonna be the odd one here and say i like my chambered muffler, i have a dual in/out 3" flo pro muffler with dual exh. and i like the sound. its got a deep rumble at idle and not loud till you get in it. i didnt notice any loss in power, but no #'s or track time to say for sure. worst case you dont like it and your out a few $'s at the exhaust shop, you already have the mufflers go for it

I run a Flowmaster Super 44. I love it sound wise. I'm switching to a Spintech though just because it's something I've always wanted.

I run a Flowmaster 40 Delta Flow. And like Justin I like the sound of it. But I'm switching to a Magnaflow when I get the extra money.
