Now that I have Allen's awesome tune what type of dignostic tool should I invest in?
Atap, efi
Scan master.

I don't own a lap top but supposed it's time to buy one. The site has a list of the requirements for a laptop anyting else I should make sure it has?
I'm not sure how accurate the predator scan tool is.

I'm double checking the #'s I should be seeing .

mods-
upd-stock maf-ported tb-Long Tubes-No cats-Catback-212/218 high lift-160 stat 93-94 octane-Stall built tranny.

How much timing should I see at idle, cruising and wot?
rough # of 02bank-
Maf-i/m-
I have the dreaded 99 and have gotten false knock since the long tubes. Its time for me to finally get a tool that really shows what I'm seeing running 93 and a 160 stat. I might install new ones or resistors because I have never, nor has anyone else ever heard audible knock.

Thanks guys.

Thanks, 02'
I emailed Allen.
I need to get these dreaded 99 Knock sensors fixed. I'm seeing false knock
and know I don't have any. Nothing audible by myself and a few others that actually know what there doing.

Timing is only 10-12 at Wot, 30's at cruising and 40's at idle.
I need to buy Atap or efi get it on a wide band and dyno, Living in the mountains stinks whan you want a race shop around.

The truck feels so much stronger now with Allens tune and If the knock sensors are pulling that much timing I can't wait till I fix them, I can't imagine having that much more timing at wot.

The only thing holding me back from the efi/atap stuff is buying a Laptop.

looks like I have to bite the bullet.

This is what I use. http://www.ls1m.com/ It works great, really fast and no boot up time like a PC, plus it fits in my glove box so I always have it with me. It also reads and resets SES codes and can find 0-60 times ect. JMO.

Boy there's alot of stuff out there, looks like a nice alternative to buying a laptop and starting from scratch.

From what I read you can select certain things to log instead of having a screen filled with readings you don't necessarily need?

i have no knock retard but my timing is at 15-20 at idle and at WOT its at a steady 63-65 degrees after 3000 rpms. that sounds high to me, but it was on a tech 2 scanner. I need a laptop.
