Hey, that was a blast vv8, kind of a long day but well worth it. I can see a lot more of those days coming soon.
Just so you guys know, this dyno is Mustang Dyno. It's far superior to the DynoJunk dyno. It actually takes into consideration load, weight, trans, etc.
It has an eddy brake and is completely controlled by the computer.
Just to give you an example on how far off an inertia dyno is = dynojet. GMCwantsLS1 made a run, well with the correct way(loaded) he pulled something like 294hp (or was it torque) , with it unloaded (like a dynojunk) he pulled 345hp (or torque), is that a big difference or what lol. Those are the numbers most ppl post.
poor poor 02denali, lol, i'm sure your truck just didn't like that dyno. The dyno guy was having a problem with the optical sensor that reads the crank revs.
On mine, I ran it in second gear (cause i'm afraid to take it that high in third because of driveshaft failure) and seemed kind of low. The thing is, ppl are like "you shift at 6500rpms,wtf" but on my graphs, the hp pulled all the way up to 6530rpms , the graph stopped right after that , but I'm sure it started to fall off at 6600rpms. I think it's the 4.10 gears that allow the engine to rev so quick and the momentum to keep going, just a thought.
Anyway, i ran it in second and my power was :
Simulating Dynojet-inertia/unloaded: 288hp/234tq peak at 6500rpms, lol.
Loaded-Real world dyno pull: 288hp/250tq, seems kind of low, but who cares, lol, whatever makes me run a 13.3 1/4 mile, hahaha.
later,
allen

Hey that was a blast at the dyno!! Good to see you all again. The simulated Dynojet was funny cause it just ran like the tires were jacked in the air LOL! It made 281.1@5250 HP and 296.9@4500 TQ under the load. But the Dynojet numbers were 315.1@5500 HP and 317.3@5000 TQ. We didn't have the stock tune with us so we couldn't test that. The numbers seem low but I'm with Allen if it runs in the 13's, I don't care much how much HP it makes. Man the truck to watch out for is that 4.8L in VV8 Kevin's truck. If he keeps going he will be passing me at the track! And I think Lance's truck 02Denali just didn't want to reveal those high HP and TQ numbers and embarass the old farmtrucks! All the nice looking NEW trucks make mine look way outdated, but I'm going for the sleeper look anyway. Looking forward to seeing all at the track for the Spring Break Shootout!

Hey guys, glad to see other #'s on a mustang dyno. Allen and I went last month and I thought my #'s were too low to post. But it seems right in line with you guys.
242.57hp@5700rpm
239.60ftlb@5000rpm
But my truck was runing lean wideband @14.8
Hey vv8 it's looks like the tornado gave you 4 hp at the wheels. That's good to know, I thought they were junk. I might buy one now...
Thanks Allen for the help and trying to find the lean problem.
And thanks to Fuel Injection Specialties for being patient.

does your 12 bolt suck up hp like the moser's/strange 12 bolts do in the f-bodies? any more or less?

I'm sure it is takes more to run than a 10 bolt but I don't know how much.
