I've e-mailed Diablo Sport twice about seeing if they will reset my Predator and haven't gotten a response (even said I'm willing to pay a fee). Nothing so far! Allen, is it possible for you to connect to a Predator, check the files and reset the part that marries itself to the truck? One of the things that's keeping me from getting a custom tune is that my Predator will basically become useless. I can still use it to scan and reset SES codes but that's about it. Anyone know of anybody who has had their Predator reset?
Jim

According to PDQ, diablosports best customer, once you use your predator on a GM vehicle , it's married to that vehicle forever. The fords are different, you can just unload it and sell it.
It's not totally useless, it makes a great basic scan tool.

There is a way around it though.. Hook it up to a little extra voltage till it dosnt work so good then send it back for replacement. Then you will have a new one you can sell if that is you intention.

Here's an idea some little bird just told me... order a new Predator from Sum*it Racin'. "Accidently" drop your existing one back in the box and then return it. Then you have one of two choices:

1. Say the thing doesn't work. Get it exchanged, then resell it on ebay or re-return to them.
2. Return it and say "just decided for a custom tune" so I don't need it anymore.

I don't condone any illegal acts/scams. I make my ebay money legally. It is not my fault I can get stuff for cheap (or free) then resell and make a nice profit. It's capitalism at its best.

That's an idea but it's not my style. I wouldn't stoop that low to rip a company off or a person off. I know people probably do it, but not me.

I wouldn't look at it as ripping them off. I would look at it more as making things right since they gave you a product that you can't resale.
