engine wanted

alright, i bought a 96 s-10 ext cab z-r2 from my brother in law, he blew up the engine and i bought it from him with intentions of replacing the short block and making a daily driver out of it. where is a good place to get a used or new short block at a reasonable price? the engine is a 4.3 vortec multi port f.i. thanks in advance

Those ought to be really simple to find. Someone here on the board probably has one he removed from his truck if they haven't hauled it the the scrap yard yet.

yeah, i was hopin one of these v-6 to v-8 guys had one, or maybe ill just stick a gen 3 v-8 in it.

Want to trade for a 88 BMW that runs w/ A/C. That little sucker gets a 50,000mpg.

no thanks, but i know a woman who likes Big Man Wieners &#33;&#33; , i only gave 600&#036; bucks for it, 95 z-r2 ext cab, black, ls interior, auto 130,000 miles. there is oil every where, i think he put a rod through the block, its got the multi port manifold on it, just tryin to make a nice daily transport. my old 88 s-10 is ready for 10 gal of bondo, i love living in all this f n salt &#33;&#33; they spread it if they read about snow here, thats why i keep my silverado in the garage all winter

yep, 600&#036; body is great, new tires, alum wheels, keyless entry, my brother in has some money, as soon as he blew it up, he towed to my dads to leave it sit and he bought a jeep, he also just bought a brand new mustang cobra( i hope to pound on him this summer, show him what a heavy chevy will do&#33 but any way he didnt want to put money in it and he&#39;s terrible at maintance so i offered and he accepted. so now i need a good motor and trans to make me a daily driver. ive done drivetrain swaps before so whats one more?

i have a 96 4.3 V6 out and ready to go for 575 plus the ride
