I was just wondering if anyone has a lead on a 160º thermostat group purchase. I find the ~$50 market price on these to be EXTREMELY high for a thermostat, though I know it does include the entire waterneck with it, or, rather, the t-stat is built into the waterneck. Anyway, if anyone has any leads on a GP from hypertech or where ever they can get the t-stats, I would greatly appreciate it. I think a lot of us would.

Sup man.... Yeah I just put a 160 Thermo in my jeep got it from the parts store it was just the Thermo and it only cost me $5.00 hahaa yeah I did it the cheap way on the jeep. But when I put one on my truck I ordered the Hypersuck programmer and 160 Thermo they only charged me about $30 for it and I got everything including waterneck. They are money well spent.

Yeah, when I put a 160º t-stat in my 78 c/k, it was cheap. Cost somewhere between $5 and $12, I don't remember. Where did you get a hypertech t-stat for $30? I could reasonably buy that.

My Girlfriends DAD use to order alot of chips and programmers from Hypertech and he could always get better prices on them than say like JEG'S or somebody would sell them for, and plus it has been about 2 1/2 years ago since I bought it so they have probably gone up in price. I mean you can pay 50 and get the housing and 160 Thermo from Hypertech, or you can order just the 160 thermo from SLP for 25 and use your stock and you should have no problems.
