Just do some reading. Allen Nelson at Nelsonperformance.com can tune your computer. That is the very first mod you should do. Best bang for the buck, I promise. Do some reading and decide how much money you want to spend read a lot on this sight and you will figure out what makes you go fast and sound good.

Trash the hypertech and go with Nelson. Then Exhaust, Intake, HEaders, Stall..... The list goes on.

hahaha i was going to stay stay away from handheld programmers... but o well...

cold air intake, long tube headers, e-fans, underdrive pulleys, cam and springs if you want to go that route, transmission servos and shift kit are popular with people, and honestly a custom tune instead of the hypertech......

sounds like you have a real nice truck!! post up some pics!!

welcome aboard stick around and post often!!

edit: yep forgot to say stall... kind of like a cam, servos and shift kit, you can go deeper that route which shouldnt be too hard to do yourself in thoery

the nelson tune should run you just about the same amount as the hypertech if you can get yoru money back... maybe an extra $50, but well worth it... its not a general tune like the HPT its custom to your truck and comes with upgrades... so you change someting onyour truck and he can change your tune

upload whatever picture you have to photobucket or whatever site you use to host pictures.... the click and copy the line underneath the picture that has [img] tags around it and paste it into the text box... then the pics should show up

Im alittle confused here, everyone seems to advice the first thing you should do to a truck for performance is tune it. now either im stupid or, ok im stupid but, shouldnt you try to get air to flow as well as possible with an intake and exhaust, headers if you choose to go that route before tuning? I mean if you wanna bypass it all and just do a speed density tune then you shouldnt have to worry about the intake and exhaust, is that what nelson is doing, a speed density tune?
