Hey farm truck, I ran in to you out at the drags last week. So I'm checking out the site. I LIKE. The new 2003 black shorty I've got only ran a 15.90@89mph.
I think the 5 speed manual with 4.06 first gear is hurting me. About 15 feet with tire spin at 1500rpm.

Hey, nice to see you made it. I'm sure you'll enjoy it here.

You gotta nice truck there, just a few more mods and you'll be low 15's. I know it's in there.

I noticed your mods. Are you experiencing any detonation/pinging after you took the screen out. If not, good thing, you're a lucky one, lol.

What other plans do you have for the truck, that thing would be badass with an LS1 in there

Shoot me an IM or something and give me your number and I'll call you when I'm heading out to the track again. or I'll just email you.

    see ya at the track,

    allen

Welcome here! Your 15.90 is still faster than my box on wheels...that 1st gear is mad low!

Get some headers next then a tune...prolly close to 1 sec faster then

Thanks for the welcome guys. My truck is a daily driver, and I drive to Austin 3 times a week. I'd like to do mods for a better E.T. But I got to drive this thing everyday.

Anyone have ideas for Cheap$$$$ mods. Best bang for the buck?

    TBI spacer
Jet or Granatelli maf---is one better than the other
    underdrive pulleys
    headers
    computer tunning (Allen)
    Bosch 4 plugs
    N.O.S.

I can't afford a supercharger right now, maybe after Chistmas.

I'd say the pulleys and nos would really drop your et's if that's what your looking for.
nos is usually the best bang for the buck.
depending on how much your run, you may need some tuning before you spray.

    keep us updated,

I think you can get a tune for 87 but the price diff filling up is ~$2-3 per fillup...not much at all. Just skip Burger King ot Taco Bueno once a week to save that $3.
