Hiya! I stumbled upon this site today, looks like I could spend a li'l time here. I have an '02 s10 x-cab step side (Xtreme, if it matters), with a supercharged 4.3/4L60. I'm not gonna waste any more money on the 6, so I've decided to go with a cammed, "headed", and tuned '02-or-newer 5.3. The boosted 6 sucks too much gas for the power and I prefer the reliability of a N/A engine. I'm actively searching for someone who has performed this particular swap before. I don't want to be a guinea pig. I want to drop my truck off and pick it up with 327 cubes, with all guages and stock functions working properly. I'll even help out if I can, I'd enjoy the learning experience. I'll be ready to get this started around May. Can anybody help me out or recommend me towards someone who can?

I know it's gonna cost more, but I need it done right and relatively quick. I'm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I know there aren't really any places around here to get this done so I plan on making a drive. If I find an experienced person to do this, they should be able to give me a list of parts and supplies. Either I can gather the necessary pieces and bring the whole mess to them, or the installer can get them. Either way, I just don't wanna have to deal with a bunch of stupid problems like gauges not working or working improperly, A/C not working, SES lights, etc. There is a shop close to here (Futral Motorsports) that can do the head/cam work and dyno tuning when the time comes. There's another shop even closer (Thunder Racing), but those snobs are too stuck-up to deal with the "little people" like me.
