    KY Race Truck build

I just bought my first rcsb Silverado. It's a 5.3L automatic. I got it cheap and it had 240,000 miles. It was used as a work truck so it looks rough inside and out but I couldn't pass up the deal since I've been wanting to build a race truck for a while now. I drove it home and into the driveway only to realize that there was coolant leaking, and once I was under the truck I also noticed the oil pan was leaking pretty steady. Also the transmission had some trouble shifting gears. But no worries here, I bought it to build into a race truck. I'm thinking I can do a 6.0L and a 4L80E and have a pretty nasty truck after a few other modifications.

The plan is to have a badass daily driver. I hope to be "done" with it by the end of this year. And I am all about some used parts. I've build plenty of motorcycles to know the advantages financially of buying used parts.

Welcome. And as far as used parts go, there are some good deals going on now in the classifieds section.
