    Unhappy Howdy from Albuquerque...

    Hi everyone...

Been lurking the Chevy forums for a while doing mods to my '98 K1500 Silverado 4x4 for a while, but now I have an even more pressing need... blew the motor on an on ramp last weekend, so now I'm looking at a new engine.

Currently evaluating the pros/cons of going LS1 as opposed to HT383E.

Looking at ease of install, time involved with the swap-- not so much cost-- will probably go with a crate engine unless I get a heck of a deal on a better engine from a local builder than I would with GM Perf.

Well, that's about it. Glad you guys are out there. Maybe I'll have a chance at getting my truck back on the road.
