Just joined up to get an upper hand on a possible 6.0 swap into my 04 Z71.

Probably seen my name on a few other boards, it never changes.

Simple swap. Pull motor, swap parts, put motor in, fire up, and tune!

I'm assuming I need a LQ9 6.0 for the best swap but what is the difference between the LQ9 and the LQ4?

Probably a dumb question, but if I buy a LQ9 long block, will the 5.3 intake and front accessories bolt right up to it? There's quite a few reman 6.0 long blocks on ebay. I'm shopping on a budget and just don't want any headaches once I commit to doing this. How well with the 4l60 hold up with the 6.0? I plan on using HP Tuners and tweaking the trans a bit. Since my truck is 4x4, I'm assuming I can look for a good 4l80 out of a 4x4 and swap it in.
