    LS1 rookie from Mississippi.....

    Hey folks.

    This looks like a great forum with a wealth of information. I'm proud to be a new member.

    I'm used to Ford SD/MA 302's & carb topped SBC's, so I'm a complete rookie when it comes to LS1 engines.

    I have a 2004 Chevy CCSB Z-71 4WD with the 5.3L. Its only got 16,500 miles (+ or -) on it (just gettin' broke in!). It came with 3.73's & a locker. Couple years ago I had the oem muffler replaced with a Flowmaster. Just recently I added a K&N oem style filter, and an Airaid Intake Tube. Other than that it is all stock.

    I hope to get this daily driver into the high 14's (NA) with only bolt ons. I know this tank punishes the scales, but hopefully with some of yalls help I can hit my goals.

    Glad to have ya! On the homepage there's some easy bolts ons to get some good power out of stock motor. Dam 16k miles?! Haha someone parked her for a while huh? Well at least you will have for run strong for years to come.
