Just wanted to check in and say hello. My name is James, i've been looking at the site for a while, trying to get some performance mod ideas for my 03 Tahoe, and this looks like the best place to be! My Tahoe is Pewter 2WD, 4.8, 20' Centerline Edge II wheels, 285/50s. No other mods to date, however it's at the shop having a QTP electric cutout installed. Future mods include a Belltech drop, air induction kit, and a Nelson tune...it looks like he's the guy to see from all the postings! Would love to hear from any other Tahoe owners!!! I'm an hour and a half North of the Houston area. Would also love to hear about any LS1 truck gatherings in that area.

Sounds cool! Just start with basic mods to get more power. I'd consider a set of 4.10:1 gears to help turn those big tires next. Then maybe a mild stall converter.

Welcome This is the place. Nelson tune for sure, you won't reget it. My wife has a Tahoe but won't let me touch it Hitman is right, a stall will help you out quite a bit as well.

Thanks for the welcome and the responses! I'll keep my eyes open for any suggestions for performance mods. Had the Quicktime Performance electric cutout installed yesterday. Sounds great! I went ahead and added a Dynomax Bullet to give it a nice tone...local shop did a great job on the install! Now i'm sure to drop the MPG for a few days, hard to keep my foot out of it.
