    NEw from MD...

Hi guys...just checkin in....appears originally posted this in the wrong section...

    Anyone else here from MD?
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey guys....first time posting to this site, but I've been following it for a while...I was hoping some knowledgable people could give me some good recomendations. I have an '85 K5 Blazer that is an on going project. The truck has been lifted with 40" tires on it.

I just recently got a cheap LS1 block from a '99 vette that parted out with 30k miles on it. I plan on getting a stroker kit for it so I have no need for high end HP and am more concerned with low end torque and grunt. I've read through the forum and have seen alot of threads about good heads for high end HP, but I need a good recomendation for good torque and a lower end power band, or just a good combination setup ,heads (brand, size), cam, intake. Any help is greatly appreciated...

    Welcome.
Yeah, getting a stroker kit for it would be beneficial, since the length of the stroke is what gives a motor its torque...
As for a cam--keep the duration around a 212-216 and some lift numbers around .540-.550. The LSA should be between a 114 and a 116.
Any name brand CAI is good... Even a homemade one works well.
Heads? Keep the CR at or near stock levels after the stroker kit is done.
