Question Newbie from Amarillo, Exhaust Question

Hello everyone... Newbie from Amarillo TX here.
    '08 Silverado Ext Cab. 5.3L 4x4, 3.73
Current mods...K&N FIPK, Bully Dog programmer (Set to performance). Future mods... Supercharger or Turbo

Is a Magna Flow cat back going to be a big difference over just replacing the muffler? I have a '08 Silverado (New Body). The exhaust is about 2.75 and a mandrel bend (which suprised me when I looked at it). Is a 3.0 tube goint to make a difference in sound/power?

    welcome to ls1truck!!!

second keep the orginal exhaust, its plenty for a modded 5.3!! change mufflers would be the only thing i would do unless i went with headers!!! then i would use the off road Y pipe

The newer the truck, the better the pipes. Swapping the muffler might make a small gain but mostly makes it sound better so pick wisely.

That is all very true. But youve gotta love that sound a good muffler makes.

True DAT. Chevy makes a great stock exhaust system. But LT headers, ORY, and a performance muffler are a must!
